A converted Railway Goods Carriage and a Genuine Mongolian Yurt – Glamping at its best. All set in a beautiful rural location in South Somerset close to the Blackdown Hills. Full facilities provided with washroom/shower, toilet and cooking.

Our Mongolian Yurt is a genuine one, 16 feet diameter and furnished with all you need, it’s decorated in the traditional Mongolian way and also features a lovely warm woodburner. It’s felt lined to give extra insulation and has a wonderful clear crown wheel cap so it lets the light in during the day and you can star gaze at night! It’s mounted on its own decking in a quiet area of the field with great views. Lighting is via eco friendly solar lights and a range of candles/lanterns for a cosy atmosphere. It sleeps 2 on a luxury mattressed futon. A gas barbeque is available for cooking and also other cooking facilities available in the barn a short stroll away.

“Big Red” is our converted Railway Goods Carriage, tastefully converted and furnished for a comfy stay, it’s equipped with a lovely wood burner, dining table and chairs and comfy double sofa bed. It has full electrics, sockets and lighting. You can shut yourself in for complete peace or open up the big doors to bring the countryside in and have a great view out over fields and woods.

Area description

Based in a quiet rural location but just minutes from the Historic Market Town of Ilminster with its range of local shops and weekly market.
The Blackdown hills are just on your doorstep and its only a 30 minute drive to the Jurrasic Coast and the historic fishing village of Lyme Regis.  Close to both the Devon and Dorset borders so its easy to discover 3 counties!
Theres plenty of local walks and places to see and visit and for the more active the South West Cycle Path passes by just 200 yards away.
