Wye Glamping, Hay-on-Wye

Forget searching the garage and loft for all the camping paraphernalia you own, cramming the car with all your worldly goods, arriving in the dark and wet to put up the tent which you realise half way through has a pole missing!
Instead, stay in a spacious pre erected bell tent or yurt. Sleep soundly on beds with real mattresses and duvets, cosy up in front of the wood burning stove with snuggly blankets, conjure up culinary delights in your sheltered kitchen area or barbeque and eat alfresco.

Here at Wye Glamping the emphasis is on relaxing and enjoying the simplicity of being close to nature in comfort and style. Take a stroll through the countryside, splash in the stream and read a book whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings.

Our yurt and bell tent both sit on wooden platforms and have their own separate camp, a 100yards or so apart. The yurt has a sundeck and enjoys stunning views of the Black Mountains, whilst the bell tent is in a magical wooded area, with a small river running alongside.

At each camp you’ll find a private kitchen hut fully equipped with everything you could need for your stay, a compost loo, picnic table, firepit and deckchairs.

Both the yurt and bell tent are furnished with a ‘proper’ king-size or double bed and 2 or 3 single futons. An extra bed or cot is available on request. Full bedding is provided for the double bed, just pillows for the others, all you need to do is pop in sleeping bags for the kids!

For your comfort, you’ll also find an abundance of rugs, cushions, blankets and a range of lighting, and of course the wood burning stove to cozy up to (a basket of logs will be provided free, more can be purchased on site for a small charge).

A small selection of games, books and toys can also be found inside, to help occupy the little ones (and yourselves) on those rainy days.

A luxury shower room can be found at the entrance to the ‘Glamping field’. This is shared between both the tent and the yurt, providing you with not only a hot shower but also a flushing Toilet
