On the Island called “ the island of the Gods” and considered one of the most exclusive destination of the planet, Sandat Glamping offers accommodations for a limited number of guests. Eight magnificent eco-designed structures where interiors and exterior combine to offer a unique experience in contact with nature without giving up the comfort and luxury of fine and sophisticated furnishings that characterize the structure.

Each eco-structure is decorated individually and guests can choose their preference according to the decor, including: round beds, beds with white mosquito net, a canopy bed with inlaid wood, crystal chandeliers, hand-crafted bamboo beds and cabinets. Other accents include linen fabric, wrought iron lamps and cabinets carved by skilled local craftsmen. There is also a splendid collection of original and unusual mirrors and objects made by Balinese artists…all to help you find your haven of peace, creating unforgettable moments.

The Place

5 luxury tents, including 2 Safari style suites …each one nestled in a private and lush tropical garden of 330mq, with a private infinity pool (5mt x 3mt x 1,50 m depth) overlooking the forest of coconut palms. The furnishings are extremely refined, original and studied in detail with a design that perfectly blends with the local atmosphere , including many bespoke “made in Bali” pieces and a touch of Italian elegance.

The SANDAT GLAMPING TENTS are nestled in a slice of heaven where the rice fields’ inhebriating green creates unique landscapes made of sinuous terraces. It is located 3km from the centre of Ubud, the cultural heart of the island. The Sandat Glampng Tents have kept intact the typical terraces of the rice fields from which it arose, adapting to the conformation of the ground to preserve  the surrounding environment according to the principles of the green philosophy of glamping.

During the creation of Sandat eco-friendly materials were used such as bamboo, fine local woods like Bangkiray (mahogany), water-repellent and fireproof cotton for the 5 Luxury Tents, the Alang Alang (thatch) for the roofs of the LUMBUNG and all the common areas such as reception, living and staff-room. The Glamping accommodation offers 8 luxury eco-design structures that allow you to enjoy the exotic charm of unspoiled places enhancing contact with nature.

3 Lumbung –Typical local buildings originally intended to storage the rice and here converted into charming homes over 2 levels.

The Glamping Sandat offers exclusive hospitality to a limited number of guests to ensure that peace and calm, which reign over the rice fields, make this place enchanting.  Unusual, refined and elegant environments where east and west blend together in sophisticated and original detail, under the direction of an unmistakable Italian style.

It is an environment that offers wellness, giving the sensation of sleeping under the stars, in symbiosis with the explosive nature that surrounds them. The amazing central structure, inspired by the criteria of the most modern bio-architecture, with a height of up to 10m. It was created by a local expert who used the bamboo to create an innovative and spectacular atmosphere. The central structure, arranged on three levels, is home to: the bar area, with its giant lava stone from the north of the island; a relaxation area with large sofas and armchairs, as well as table to play backgammon and a well stocked library, the breakfast area where master a trunk section of 26,25 feet long where breakfast is served. The steps, very sinuous, resumes the trend of the surrounding terraces and connects these spaces creating a unique environment of more than 240 square meters. The white color of the flooring creates a relaxing and fresh atmosphere.
