Parkland offers a selection of ‘glamping’ options within the grounds of a three acre AA five pennant caravan and camping site. The site is located near Kingsbridge and Salcombe in a area of outstanding natural beauty, ideally situated for exploring glorious South Devon.

Our cosy Shepherd’s Hut, Estuary view is situated to give you a stunning view over the country side towards the Kingsbridge and Salcombe estuary. The small Shepherd’s Hut has a luxury 5ft double bed, prepared with quality linens, enabling you to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable nights sleep. Within the hut is a small comfy sofa, TV and radio and storage drawers. Next to the hut (you do have to go outside) you have your own micro kitchen with small dining area, then into your own cosy ensuite with shower, toilet and washbasin. The essentials of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter and bread are provided. The shepherd hut has central heating and can be used at any time of year.

Garden view is situated on site to give you stunning views over the countryside towards Kingsbridge and Salcombe. The cabin has a luxury 4ft 6″double bed, prepared with quality linens, enabling you to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable nights sleep. Within the cabin is a comfy sofa, TV and radio, small dressing table and storage drawers. The open plan rooms leads into a micro kitchen with small dining area, then into your own cosy ensuite with shower, toilet and washbasin. The essentials of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter and bread are provided. The cabin has central heating and can be used at anytime of year.

Area Info / Things To Do

The area has plenty to offer all, whether you like to ramble along the stunning South West Coast Path, or the network of pretty inland green lanes, explore small towns and quaint villages, or perhaps magnificent gardens and historic houses. Adventure centres and visitor attractions are plentiful, along with sailing, water-sports, fishing and golf, or perhaps you prefer a lazy day on one of the many glorious beaches in the vicinity, with a good meal from many fine establishments in the area to round the day off…

You will discover that South Devon is the perfect location for the water-sports enthusiast. For the energetic why not try your hand at surfing, kayaking or paddle boarding at Bantham or Bigbury. Salcombe offers boat hire for the experienced sailor, or tuition for the beginner. For a leisurely day sit back and relax on a scenic cruise from Dartmouth, enjoy the wildlife on the River Dart, or venture out to sea for the stunning coastline. Fishing trips can also be arranged from Salcombe, and the area has many private fisheries.

The South Hams coastline is lined with an array of vast sandy beaches and pebbled coves. All are perfect for a relaxing day, or the starting point for exploring along the South West coast path. You will find many of the larger beaches with amenities, along with a quaint village pub, or beach cafe, but off the beaten track there are many secluded natural coves offering just sun (hopefully), sea and sand (or pebbles)…

From fine dining and home-cooked pub grub, to take away fish ’n’ chips you will find an establishment within a short drive to suit your occasion…of course the use of fresh local produce is in abundance, along with the daily catch, and the well known Salcombe Crab…
