This self-catering holiday coach is now available to book for your Scottish Highland holiday. It is positioned in a stunning location on the shores of Loch Awe: one of the most scenic yet easily accessible parts of Scotland.

Maintaining as many original features as possible, the carriage has two bedrooms (one double and one with a single and two full sized bunks), kitchen, shower, sitting room and a dining room which creates the impression of eating in a beautifully fitted out restaurant car.

Accommodation for 5 on one floor

Car parking for 2 cars – access from the car parking area is by a short walk then up over the footbridge across the existing single track line and down to the Carriage which has two flights of steps from ground level up to the side and rear doors. (Due to this the coach may not be suitable for persons with mobility problems.)

Accommodation comprises the living room, dining area, kitchen, double bedroom, bedroom with single bed and a pair of full size bunk beds, shower room with shower and wash basin and a toilet with wash basin.

Ammenities and facilities – Electric heating. Bed linen and towels provided. Electric cooking. Dishwasher. Fridge. TV (‘Freesat’ providing national and local TV and radio) with DVD/CD player. Garden area laid to grass and enclosed by fencing providing protection from the loch and the railway line. Garden furniture on front deck.

No Smoking and No Pets permitted. No single sex parties (apart from couples) permitted.

 

Area description

Loch Awe is Scotland’s longest and one of the largest inland lochs. Offering fabulous views over to Kilchurn Castle, the coach is the ideal base for exploring the surrounding area where there is much to see and do – or you can just laze by the loch, relaxing amidst the glorious Scottish scenery.

The Holiday Coach is located on the shores of Loch Awe, beneath the splendid edifice of The Loch Awe Hotel, and offers magnificent views of the loch and nearby Kilchurn Castle. It is set in its own garden area, laid to grass and enclosed by fencing providing protection from the loch and the railway line

ScotRail’s Caledonian sleeper provides easy access from the south and car hire is available in Oban.

Just 75 miles from Glasgow, 21 miles from Oban and just yards from Loch Awe station, getting there is easy by road or rail!
