Barnsoul Caravan Park – Wigwam Glamping

Come and explore the countryside and wander in the wide open spaces at Barnsoul Caravan and Camping. Situated in the heart of beautiful Dumfries and Galloway and just 6 miles from Dumfries town centre, you’ll be well placed to visit numerous local attractions and activities right on our doorstep. Nearly 300 acres of woodlands, paddocks and ponds attract an abundance of wildlife, including deer, fox, badgers, otters, red squirrels and a huge variety of bird life. Our comfortable facilities offer: water, electric hook ups, shower block with individual cubicles, communal kitchen, communal dining room, laundry facilities, chemical toilet disposal, and an on-site warden.

Our Wigwams are perfect for “Scottish” camping allowing you the freedom of camping without the hassle, whatever the weather. The wigwams are situated down from our Big Wood overlooking the Mill Pond. Our visitors can fish for free – the perfect opportunity to catch your dinner?

Wigwams are basically a wooden tent with extras. They have foam mattresses, lights, heater, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. Each wigwam has its own firepit allowing you to cozy up at your own campfire.

You need to bring sleeping bags, cooking utensils, plates etc (flatware and pots can be hired from our reception). If you are feeling sociable we have a newly fitted camp kitchen which has hobs, microwaves, kettles and a covered area where you can sit and eat or, weather permitting an outdoor picnic area.
