About

Penbugle Organic Farm – a working farm that produces organic eggs, rare breed meat, and wonderful Glamping getaways! The farm is a short distance between the ancient market town of Liskeard and the fishing town of Looe and is part of the Duchy of Cornwall Duloe Estate and just 25 – 30 minutes from the Tamar Bridge, the border between Cornwall and Devon.
Our four Wigwams are set in a small grass paddock behind the farmhouse. Each Wigwam sleeps 4 – 5 people and has electric lighting, a panel heater, standard UK household sockets (3 pin) and mattresses. We also have 2 Bell Tents as well as offer tent pitches.

Please remember to bring your own bedding and towels.

Barbeques are permitted outdoors.

Cars have a separate parking area outside the paddock; wheelbarrows/trollies are provided to transport your equipment to the Wigwams. This keeps the site vehicle-free and safe.

Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead at all times around the farm due to our livestock. Owners are also asked to clean up behind them, using the bins provided.

Our Wigwams are a low cost, all year round alternative to hotels and B&Bs. They have a touch more luxury than camping in a tent and are great value for money, warm and comfortable. Each Wigwam has an outdoor picnic table and decking.

Toilets, showers, and washing-up area, with hot and cold taps, are close by. There is a shared kitchen area with a microwave, cooker, kettle, fridge and general equipment. We believe in recycling our rubbish to help preserve our environment. so PLEASE use the recycling bins provided when leaving your rubbish with us. There will also be a notice board with helpful information, along with places of interest to visit. We can also arrange collections from a train station if needed for a small charge.

Don’t forget your torches and wellies! We have very little light pollution, allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle of modern living, and giving you a chance to gaze at the stars and night sky.

Penbugle Farm Bell Tents

Our two Bell Tents were new in 2012 (weather dependant)

Penbugle Farm Bell Tents are positioned in another grass paddock next door to the Wigwams and may occasionally share with ordinary touring tents but with plenty of room and space between each. Each Bell Tent is pitched on a wooden decking to keep off the ground in wet weather and add a little more to that glamping experience. They have views of the farm and each has a picnic table. Each Bell Tent has room to sleep up to five, with cotton roll mattresses provided. Bell Tents have coir matting and cotton rugs to keep bare feet happy and cosy. Lighting is supplied by gentle LED Solar powered string lights and a rustic Tea Light Chandelier, which lights up the tents beautifully and provides warmth for guests. The chandelier can be hoisted higher up the centre pole to avoid little hands meddling. Barbeques are permitted outside the tents only. Toilet, shower and washing-up facilities are a short walk away in the next field. There is also a shared kitchen area with kettle, microwave and fridge etc.

Bedding is not provided, so we do ask you to bring your own bed linen / sleeping bags, pillows and towels, crockery and cutlery.

Don’t forget your torches and wellies! There is very little light pollution, allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle of modern living and a chance to gaze at the night sky.

Cars have a parking area outside the paddocks with wheelbarrows/trollies to transport your equipment to the Bell Tents. This keeps the campsite vehicle free and safe.

Rubbish is to be sorted into recycling bins and general rubbish or taken home with you, as we try to do our bit for our environment .

Dogs welcome – kept on a lead at all times and owners MUST clean up after their dogs (bins provided)
