Hunger Hill Yurts nestle in the heart of the beautiful East Devon countryside, close to spectacular beaches on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. We offer back to nature, family holidays, in cosy Yurts with comfy beds. The Yurts share a small holding with Kune kune pigs, chickens, ducks a very friendly dog. Here we provide as much as possible to make your stay easy so you can really relax and experience a camping with a difference!
Furnished with kilims, cushions and sheep skins the Yurts have a nomadic feel. The wood burners ensure you are always cosy and a good supply of logs included in the price. All the Meadow Yurts have a fully equipped cooking area and out side each Yurt are hammocks, a picnic table and fireplace with BBQ grill. All are in easy reach of the main kitchen (with fridges) and facilities and have wonderful views across the Otter valley. In each Yurt there is a socket to charge phones. Free Wi Fi is available.
In the centre of the Meadow is a 22 foot communal Yurt with a wood burner, fairy lights, sofa, tables and benches. Just outside there is a fireplace and BBQ . It’s a good spot to get together.
The Orchard Yurt is in a secluded area with access to the Yurt Meadow. It’s a larger Yurt making room for a big comfy sofa in front of the wood burning stove. As in the Meadow Yurts the fairy lights, cushions and sheep skin rugs give the Yurt a cosy feel. Next to the Yurt is its own kitchen and covered eating area, also shower and toilet. The Orchard Yurt is very popular and a perfect retreat!
